Joyful Noises - History
Joyful Noises was created in 2000 by a team of volunteer congregants of the Congregational Church of Topsfield who had a vision of a non-denominational Christian Preschool to serve the needs of the greater Tri-town area.
The Director of Youth Ministry, Betsey Guest-Natale, led this team and Rev. Maryanne was hired soon after. The school opened for summer programs in July, 2000 just using Fellowship Hall. It was one big open space with wall dividers to define the space.
In September of that year we moved down to the school we now occupy. We opened five classrooms which included an Infant class, two Toddler classes, a Preschool class and a Pre-K class. All classes were run by a well seasoned staff of gifted, well educated, certified teachers.
We promoted the staff’s passions and created enrichment classes such as Yoga, Music, Spanish and Chapel. We are planning to add dance in the Fall, 2009. We became NAEYC accredited in 2007, an organization which recognizes high quality programs throughout the country.
In 2007 we closed our Infant class and opened another Preschool class to meet the demands of Preschool children in the community. In 2010 we will be celebrating our tenth anniversary of service to the families in the surrounding communities.
